A group of greyhounds in Wiltshire made quite the impact over the weekend, with dozens of them taking to the streets in Chippenham
Monkton Park GGW got together on September 25 as part of the Global Greyhound Walk at the 10th Hole Tea Room in Monkton Park.
The group broke their attendance total and had 91 Sighthounds join them, seven stalls and a raffle.
In total they managed to raise £350 for Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue Charity while they took part in the worldwide fundraiser.
Ann Stanford who runs the group said: “There were quite a lot of new faces, and it went really well, even if some people did look a little surprise to see us in Chippenham.
“All the stallholders did really well and the raffle which was run by my friend Becky who sold her own products, and was selling off the tickets which just went bonkers.
“You're always going to get the odd rumble but it all went smoothly, with lots of people surprised I don’t know if it’s the breed but greyhounds just seem to get along.”
The goal for the event is to get 10,000 greyhounds together across the world in 19 countries to show what great pets ex-racing greyhounds can make.
